Ashley Hunter

My drive to be a counselor comes from my personal experience with betrayal trauma.

During a difficult time in my life I felt so alone – I believed there was no way anyone would understand what I was experiencing. Through support groups, I learned that this belief is one of the Adversary’s favorite tactics. He works in shadows and isolation. His power comes from secrets.

Knowing these truths, I work daily to bring things into the light, build connections, and draw my power from truth. As you work with me, I will encourage you to be empowered to do the same.

You are welcome to contact me to set up a consultation appointment at ashly.leavitt@gmail.com

Jody is a native Texan born in Oak Cliff hospital in Dallas during the time of poodle skirts and car hops. She is your typical 4th generation Texan who loves ice lemonade, wide open landscapes with star filled Texas skies and mesquite smoked barbeque.

When all the children flew the nest, she returned to school to complete a lifelong goal of a college degree and liked it so much she went on to get a Masters in Social Work. Her goal was to become a Child and Family Therapist so she could reach out and help those struggling with personal and family issues. Jody is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has a private practice in Arlington, Texas.

Jody is often asked to speak for conferences, firesides and workshops and has spent the last 4 years traveling all over Texas speaking to groups about Pornography addiction and recovery. She is a member of The Lone Star Coalition Against Pornography.  She is passionate about helping others find peace and navigate the difficulties in this journey we call life. She facilitates four WORTH groups each week and has recently completed a trauma certification.

Karen Gilmore graduated from BYU with a bachelors degree in Social Work and then completed a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Utah.

She has worked in a variety of settings working with adults, children and families. She worked at mental health facilities doing mental health therapy for many years and has specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing and healing from trauma. She then moved to Southern California where she worked with the Children’s Bureau of Southern California doing in-home prevention work with at risk children and families. She became the program manager and later the Director of Community Services for Children’s Bureau in the Antelope Valley Region.

When they moved to Colorado, Karen was able to work as a school based social worker with elementary school children. That was an ideal way to balance work and be still be on the same schedule as her children. Upon returning to California, she was asked to take the lead on a grant to create a mentoring program for at-risk youth ages 7-17. She recruited and trained mentors, identified the youth for the program, matched the mentors with youth and facilitated monthly group activities.

She currently has a private practice in Southern California where she lives with her husband and one of her three children who is still at home.

Kaylee HeathKaylee graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and is currently an intern as a Mental Health Counselor, receiving her Master’s Degree of Arts in Mental Health Counseling.

Kaylee works primarily from the fundamental belief that all people are good, and that every person seeking help through counseling services is brave in their vulnerability. We each seek connection, belonging, and security as human beings. Reaching out when experiencing barriers to living the life we desire is often a challenging and rewarding step.
Her promise to each of her clients is to meet them exactly where they are, to honor their stories, to validate their past and present trauma, to provide unconditional positive regard to their behavior and thoughts, to help them process their challenges through reflective listening, empathy, reframing thoughts, and exploring emotions, and most importantly, to provide for them a safe place to do life’s most important work of reconnecting to self and others.

Kaylee works primarily as an humanist therapist with a feminist lens, trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and betrayal trauma.

Kimberly graduated from BYU with a Bachelors in Psychology, served an LDS mission, and then went back to school to earn a Masters Degree from Washington State University in Counseling Psychology in 2007. She loves to read, cuddle with her kiddos, eat ice cream, and trade stock derivatives.

Despite her degrees, she took a fairly circuitous route into the professional counseling field. She worked in Higher Education for several years, at University of Idaho for Student Support Services (while earning her degree), and also Washington State and Boise State Universities in Financial Aid. Later she worked at a financial planning firm where she worked mainly with clients around retirement.

But, as thrillingly predictable as risk analyses and investment return calculations, she felt the call to come back to her love for counseling and working with people through life’s challenges. Her focus is working with individuals suffering from Betrayal Trauma, or other types of complex relationship traumas.

She is action and results focused, and believes strongly in each individual’s innate abilities to move them toward healing and growth. She believes in the importance of establishing positive interpersonal connections, practicing healthy relationship patterns, and in owning your own story and personal empowerment as being critical to healing from traumatic life events.

Rachel AugustusRachel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Utah (in person and teletherapy) and Nevada (teletherapy only). She meets with individuals, couples or families.

Rachel is working on her PhD in Marriage, Family and Human Development and has advanced training in EMDR and EFT. She also uses CBT and DBT in her work. She has received specialized training and has worked extensively with problematic sexual behaviors, such as pornography and infidelity and the relational or betrayal trauma that may be associated with those behaviors.

She also has experience with traditional mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, or abuse; couples issues such as communication and intimacy; as well as broader life struggles such as faith crises and grief.

Rachel grew up on a farm in Idaho where the motto was “work hard and then play hard”.  She tries her best to live that every day, so when not working or at school, you’ll find her with her nose in a book, practicing yoga, attending a play or concert, hiking a new trail with her dog or counting down the days until her family’s next trip to Lake Powell.

Staci Rock SomesI’m Staci, and I’m glad you found me. I bet you never envisioned yourself in this place. I know I never did. I never thought I would be the wife of an addict. I never thought my husband would be unfaithful. I never thought words like pornography addiction, sex addiction, gaslighting, abuse, and trauma would become part of my story.

I’m sure you feel overwhelmed and isolated, but I want you to know something very important: you are not alone. You will find hope and healing when you focus energy on YOU.

It is incredibly brave of you to reach out, become vulnerable and ask for guidance. I would be honored to help you navigate your journey towards healing.

In addition to my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I’ve spent countless hours studying betrayal trauma, coaching betrayed women, and leading support groups. My clients include women looking to reconcile, others contemplating divorce, and those experiencing the aftermath of divorce. Whichever path you are on, I’d love to walk with you, support you, and help you reclaim safety and peace.

Amie Woolsey

Realizing how much work it takes to heal or navigate life with an addict can feel overwhelming and lonely. I am here to tell you that you are not alone. There is hope and healing available, if you choose to invest in yourself.

I did not grow up thinking I would be the wife of an addict or that I would have a husband who was unfaithful. No one prepared me for that. So, when I discovered my husband’s infidelity and pornography addiction, the shock and fear were almost debilitating. I was confused–not knowing how I felt, or not really feeling at all. I was left wondering what to do and where do I even begin. I remember believing that if he would just change and get better, then I would feel better. I now understand that feeling better is not contingent on his choices, and neither was my healing.

The decision to end an 18 year marriage was not easy. I worked hard for years trying to “fix” it. However, I knew that it was necessary in order for me to ever be whole again. Learning to trust myself, believe once again in my intuitions, and value my worth was priceless to me.

I believe that divorce is never the first choice or desired outcome. However, I know that God desires us to be happy and healthy in every capacity. So, my focus will be the same for you. Helping you to see that you can create your own happiness and be healthy once again whether you are married or not, because it IS possible!

I know that living life after divorce as a single mom can be the most frightening aspect of all. My experience and education during this time in my life brings great value to my coaching.

I have since remarried and am experiencing what a healthy marriage looks like for the first time in my life, which adds another element to my coaching tools. Together we have 7 children ranging from 22 to 5 years-old–it is a party!  I know that because I invested in myself and in my own healing, life is better than I ever thought possible.

I bring with me key principles and tools that have blessed my life in my long journey and continue to bless me each day. I have found these same principles are implemented in WORTH and Choose Recovery services, making it a joy and privilege to be affiliated with this group. I invite you to invest in yourself too!
